A force for change, Ghaya Al Ahbabi is the youngest UNICEF Youth Advocate and Ambassador for COP28, making waves both in the UAE and on the global stage. Known for her passion for climate justice and dedication to youth empowerment, Ghaya is a powerful voice for the next generation, inspiring action towards a sustainable and equitable future. Her work focuses on addressing critical issues affecting children and the environment. Ghaya’s impact continues to grow.

I began teaching during the last millennium and have travelled across the UK and the Middle East during my expansive career, specialising in Secondary English and schoolwide development of classroom excellence. Adamantly amazed by the verve and positivity of young people, I strive to motivate students to be ambitious, creative, passionate people who have a mindful and caring attitude to the world around them. Awed by the power of community, and a relentless appetite to afford the best educational opportunities for all, GFS excites me as an innovative, effectual, inclusive and caring school.

With a firm commitment to end poverty and ensure access to basic rights for all people in the world, his intrapreneurial or entrepreneurial journey has been full of learnings. While working with NGOs, private sector, with governments, social enterprises and international development organizations on developmental issues including rural livelihoods, pro-poor value chains, sustainable supply chain management, rural marketing etc, he has come across extremely passionate people, which always boosts his spirit.
